Used widely as a hedging plant, Syzygium luehmannii (Riberry) has potential to grow 6 metres to 30 metres tall making it an ideal high hedge to screen neighbours. Riberry is an attractive plant for many reasons. Its delicious clove tasting berries are a perfect bush food and kitchen spice that can be used where ever you are currently using cloves.  A relaxing tea can also be made from its leaves. They also make for an enticing cake and cupcake decoration! Suitable for both full sun and part shade, Riberry has white fluffy flowers in Spring, bright pink/red fruit in the Summer months and new red leaves in Autumn so this is truly a year round wonder to behold! Riberry is drought tolerant once established and it will also bring in the birds.  Riberry is native to coastal rainforests from northern New South Wales through to Queensland.
