Ehretia acuminata (Koda) occurs along creek lines and also in subtropical and dry rainforests. It has sweet scented flowers followed by edible orange fruits and is a habitat tree for figbirds and the Hairy Line-blue, Marbled Line-blue, and White-banded Plane (Common Aeroplane) butterflies. Although it can reach 18 metres in the wild, it's usually 10 metres or less in gardens. It's best planted in a position where it gets filtered light and can be watered during establishment.
