Acmena smithii is a summer-flowering, winter-fruiting evergreen tree, belonging to the myrtle family Myrtaceae

• Full sun/half shade/full shade
• Height 3-5m Width 1-3m
•  Well drained soils, adapts to most soils
• Flowers: Spring
• Attracts – nectar eating birds, seed eating birds, bees, butterflies and other insects.

Distrubution: Widespread in east coast rainforests from north Qld to Vic. Also found on King Island
